"Spices!" for TODAY!

Are you still thinking and having trouble on finding what to eat today?! Hello everyone and welcome to our blog checking out "What to Eat Today"
This is writer Jasmine
Have you ever been to "Spices!" here at Bay Area? "Spices!" is one of the best spicy Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. This restaurant is famous on its taste of Szechuan Trenz. In another words, "Spices!" is popular because of its all spicy dishes!
I have been to “Spices!” with my family and friends for several times and it is a great place to have dinner together and enjoy the fun. As a Taiwanese, I am really picky on Chinese cuisine, especially Chinese restaurants located at San Francisco. However, I still have to say that “Spices!” is one of the best Chinese restaurants at bay area. There are some “must order” dishes and you will definitely like them as much as I do if you prefer spicy tastes. ●ω●
Here are some recommendations for you.
        Appetizers—Hot & Spicy Beef Combination

This is one of my favorite appetizers. It is a cold dish and basically the combination of beef tendon and beef shank. It you are not a spicy lover, you can still try the meat without saucing the spicy oil dressing. I addict to this dish every time I order it and I just can’t stop eating it!≧ω≦

        Appetizers—Spicy Chinese Bacon with Garlic

This is my second favorite appetizer. Actually, I am a little bit afraid of eating water cooked Chinese bacon because of the oily taste. However, the way this restaurant cooks this dish is really special. Chinese bacons are very thin slices with plenty amount of delicious garlic sauce. I crazily fall in love with this dish and it changes my mind that water cooked Chinese bacons can be this tasty too!

        Fried Stinky To Fu

Stinky To Fu is always a popular dish in Asia. Some people love it and the others hate it because of its stinky smell. In Asian point of view, stinky To Fu is stinker the better. I have tried so many Chinese restaurants at Bay Area and “Spices” is one of the closest tastes of stinky To Fu to traditional taste in Taiwan. Even though it is not very stinky, but the way it fried is so crispy and you can even hear the sound of “ka-chi ka-chi” in your month.>▽<

        To Fu with Pork Intestine

This small hot pot includes To Fu, pork intestine, and also pork blood. It is a little bit spicier compared to other dishes due to the reason that it’s boiling all the time. Pork intestine is really tasty and full of delicious sauce in the pot. This dish is a must-ordered dish because it provides variety choices of food in the pot.●▽●

Meat Dishes—Chicken Wings with Explosive Chili Pepper

This dish is a MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST ordered dish. It is one of the most famous dishes in the whole menu. It is really spicy and it is a best choice for spicy lovers. Imagine the happiness of digging into whole bunch of chilies and peppers to find a piece of fried chicken. This dish is really delicious not only because of its spicy level but also its juicy and tender chicken wings! You cannot say you have come to “Spices!” unless you try this one.

Meat Dishes—Pork Intestine sautéed with Basil & Fresh Garlic

Personally, I am a big fan of pork intestine. There are so many different flavors and cooked style of pork intestine in “Spices!”. However, I recommend this dish because it is a Taiwanese style and it is really good. Every pork intestine is very tender and it is the best combination of pork intestine with basil and garlic! I start getting hungry when I think of this dish because I just can’t forget its tastiness.

I don’t have photos for other recommended dishes, but I still want to introduce them to you as followings.↓

Appetizers—Cold Shredded Bean Curd w/ Sesame Oil
Sea Food Dishes—Spicy Fish Fillet Bowl with Flaming RED Oil

Vegetarian Dishes—Stir-Fried Chinese Watercress (or with Garlic)
Noodle Plates—Won Tons in RED Oil
