But today I'm going to introduce you the authentic Northern Chinese hotpot that looks like this:
So let's started with the restaurant: Old Mandarin Islamic Restaurant. I found this restaurant on Yelp, and when I saw the picture above I was so excited because I haven't had this kind of hotpot for years! Yes I came from the northern part of China and I love the food there. This one really makes me miss my hometown. If you never heard or tried the Northern Chinese hotpot I highly recommend you to try once, and you won't be disappointed.
The best thing to have with the hotpot is lamb. I'm a meat lover and I usually would order 2-3 plates of lamb. The lamb slices there are ultra thin and it melts in your mouth. The hotpot is served with special sauce which is made in Beijing and air-transported here. You can also have beef, tofu, and other stuffs you like. With the special sauce everything is so yummy.
Although the restaurant is specialty in hotpot, you could also find other delicious dishes too.
Cumin Lamb is a great choice. It's fresh and tender. So yummy.
The restaurant is near SF Zoo so it's easy to get there, and there's plenty of street parking.
