Different Pho in "Little Saigon"!

Hello and welcome to “What To Eat Today?”!
        This is writer Jasmine :)
There are so many Vietnamese restaurants here in San Francisco. It is a great idea to eat pho with hot soup in such a foggy weather at nights. However, I’m going to introduce you one Vietnamese restaurant called “Little Saigon” near South San Francisco!
Unlike other restaurants, “Little Saigon” is famous on its different styles of pho. Before I tried pho at “Little Saigon”, I always thought that the basic and traditional pho is the best style. However, “Little Saigon” totally changed my mind and I crazily fell in love with other styles of pho! Still thinking about what to eat today? Just check out these special styles of pho at “Little Saigon”.
        Appetizers—Fresh Spring Rolls

Spring Rolls are very common appetizers in Vietnamese restaurants. In my experience, a dish usually contains two shrimps in a roll. However, Spring Rolls at “Little Saigon” have 4 shrimps in a roll and also have some basil inside the roll. The taste is slightly different compared to other restaurants and of course, it’s very yummy. PS: This picture is taken after I ate a roll. :P

        Appetizers—Fish Cake

After I tried the Spring Rolls, I also ordered Fish Cake. Fish Cake is really delicious and soft. It is a great combination of Fish Cake with the sauce and also the red and white carrot dressing. It is a little bit too saltier, but it’s a great choice of appetizers to open up your stomach!

Pho Noodle Soup—Crab Meat Paste Noodle Soup

Can you imagine this pho noodle soup is with whole bunch of crab meat and tomato broth? Crab Meat Paste Noodle Soup is a best choice for people who crave for seafood and a not so greasy soup. The soup is full of tomato, crab meat, tofu, and shrimps. It is not spicy and I just can’t control myself of not loving it.

Pho Noodle Soup—Yellow Curry Noodle Soup (Duck/ Chicken/ Beef/ Vegetable)

This pho noodle soup is another you must try! The soup is all not spicy yellow curry and with plenty amount of soft potato cubes. You have your choice of choosing duck, chicken, beef, or even vegetables. This dish is with duck and the combination of duck and yellow curry is very special. The duck is all covered by yellow curry and the taste is really delicious. But be careful about your mouth! The potato cubes are very hot because they all absorb the yellow curry broth so well.

Pho Noodle Soup—Smoked Duck with Egg Noodle Soup

This pho noodle soup is with egg noodle which are thinner noodles. The broth is very light with some vegetables because the main point of this dish is its smoked duck. Even though the duck meat is a little bit too old, it is good at its smelling and smoked taste. If you are a duck meat-lover, then you definitely got to try this one!

Pho Noodle Soup—Hue Style Spicy Noodle Soup

I have one more pho noodle soup needed to introduce to you guys! This pho noodle soup is too delicious and too addictive. I forgot to take a picture of it after I finished it all! Hue Style Spicy Noodle Soup is very spicy and it contains beef, tofu, and also some vegetables. I kept sweating while I was eating this one. It is definitely the best choice for spicy-lovers.

After I have introduced to you about these special styles of pho noodle soup, I am sure you got a basic idea of “Little Saigon”. It of course provides some other traditional pho noodle soups and rice plates. What are you waiting for? Let’s have a Vietnamese day!
