Thai Thai Noodle

Walking around in the Nob Hill district yesterday afternoon with a friend, feeling hungry because we haven't eat lunch yet, and walked past by "Thai Thai Noodle", a Thai restaurant that I mostly go to with my family. This place has very delicious foods and they are served in right amounts. Two people can share one dish and still feel full. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Nob Hill district in San Francisco.

Por Jay (Veggie Spring Rolls)

These spring rolls are very delicious!  You can probably tell by the picture me and my friend already ate halfway before taking this photo. The spring rolls are deep fried, inside stuffed with silver noodles, taro, cabbage, and cilantro. Served with sweet and sour sauce. If you are a vegetarian, you should definitely try this appetizer.

Lad Nah

This dish is one of my most favorite Thai dishes. It is cooked with flat rice noodles, chinese broccoli and garlic in gravy sauce. I order this a lot every time I go there. I like the amount of food the chef put in this dish. It doesn't look like it has very little amount. The gravy sauce is perfect. It wasn't too watery. Gravy sauce supposed to be thick. I also like how they put a lot of the chinese broccoli in it. Very delicious! Highly recommend this dish!

Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle)

This dish is cooked with flat rice noodles, tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, basil, green beans, chili and garlic. I really like flat rice noodles, especially in Thai foods. I don't know why they call it "drunken noodles" LOL. And the sauce on this dish gives a strong flavor. This plate is big, you can't even finish the whole thing. So delicious you have to try this.

Overall, this is a very good place to go to if you like Thai food. Me and my family go to this place a lot on weekends. The place is quite small, and it is hard to find parking spaces, so I suggest you take the muni bus to get there. If ordering by takeout, you can order your foods online and schedule to pick up there. The service is very good. So if you are around that area, I'd say you go to Thai Thai Noodle for lunch.

Cafe 37 Degrees

Sometimes I feel hungry but not really want to have dinner, I would go to a cafe to have some bubble tea or some nice desserts. I've been to "37 Degrees" a lot of times when that kind of situation happens. This cafe is somehow small, but it has great food and drinks, even though it's not as sanitary as I wished, it's a small little spot that opens super late with tons of people...

They have a variety of desserts on their menu, and the containers of desserts are cute. In terms of the shaved ice, it was quite typical. They weren't particularly generous with the toppings but it just tastes good. I like the original flavored ice, which is actually milk flavored, and it's very much like the milk flavored popsicles from Asia (i.e. almost coconutty). It's not plain ice or condensed milk flavored like Class 302 down in Roland Heights (So Cal). Since the ice was shaved in sheets, it was also quite thick, and the condensed milk would sit on certain parts of the ice without being absorbed. This made the ice sweet in mouthfuls.
If you come starving, they also have some combo plates or noodles. Chicken wings and skewers are also good but maybe a little expensive compare to KFC next door..

You can also order some waffle for the following morning. Plenty of fruit as advertised.
The only bad thing is the service is bad, and the waitress barely speaks English (if you can't speak Chinese). But I still go there a lot. I wouldn't say I crave this sorta thing, but when you tell me there's cold tofu with mixed fruit, or a big bowl of "snow ice" with toppings, of course I'll join you!

Koi Palace

I've been thinking which dim sum restaurant I shall introduce since there are so many dim sum restaurant around Bay Area. I've also compared Koi Palace with those restaurant and finally decide I will write about this place. When speaking of price, Koi Palace may be expensive,  but the food there really worth the price.

I usually go there on weekdays since there would be a huge crowd on weekends. It's a nice place near mall which you can hang out with your families and friends.

Xiao Long Bao- This is my Favorite.  They come in nice little individual tin foil cups, so that you can catch the soup that spills out! The meat is tender and the soup is very tasty.

I also love "Shrimp Noodle Roll", it comes with some sort of soy sauce which is not too salty but really delicious.
Not a big fan of dim sum? Not a big problem. They also have a lot of other delicious dishes you can have. Like the "Duck and Tofu Clay Pot". I like duck so I like this dish. Even if you don't like duck before, I'm sure you will like this.

- BBQ Meat Combo - the BBQ pork and duck were good
- Seafood Fish Maw Soup - A-Okay
- Stir-fried with Veggies and Diced Chicken - A-Okay
- Honey Glazed Walnut Prawns - SURPRISINGLY GOOD COMBINATION!!!
- Pan Fried Pork Chops in Maggi Sauce - Quite good
- * mystery dish * I didn't like the look of it so didn't try it.
- Steamed Fresh Catch of the Day - I don't recall what kind of fish it was, but it TASTED SURPRISINGLY BAD. Strong fishy smell which indicates fish is not fresh...and judging by the dead red fish in the tank up front, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what it was.
- Seasonal Fruit Platter - instead we got a sweet, warm soupy like dessert with a warm rice ball with black sesame seed filling which wasn't bad.

Come and try today, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Thai Spice!

Sawat dee Kah! This is writer Grace, here to tell you another restaurant I discovered. What kind of restaurant am I going to write? Well, based on the greeting, I’m going write about a Thai restaurant called “Thai Spice”. Ooh spices... doesn't that sound exciting?

I've only been to this place once and I must say, it’s very expensive but the food is so good! I enjoyed some of their authentic Thai foods. Here's what I tried:

Red Curry with Prawns

This dish is made of red curry paste with coconut milk, with potatoes and choice of meat/ seafood. I’m a huge fan of curry, but I never tried it with seafood before. I just eat it mostly with chicken when I order curry. My aunt ordered this when I went with her. It tasted okay for me, because it tasted weird when I eat anything seafood with curry, but my aunt liked it. If you like seafood and curry together, then you should try this.

Cashew Nuts with Beef

This dish has beef, cashew nuts, tomatoes, bell peppers, and basil. It was very spicy and delicious. I liked how the sauce was marinated in the beef and then cooked with the tomatoes and cashew nuts. The basil adds up a refreshing flavor to the dish. However, it has very little amount so I was kinda pissed I ordered this. Not worth to try this dish.

Overall, this place has very delicious authentic Thai foods. I like Thai foods a lot so I've been looking for some good Thai restaurants everywhere in the Bay Area. Thai Spice is one of the places I tried and enjoyed even though I've only been there once. There are so many dishes to try. Also, inside of the restaurant hass very nice interior, and gives you a peaceful and quiet feeling when going in. I like going to restaurants where there's not much noise and noise level are kept to minimum, unlike other restaurants where people talk hella loud.

Ready for Buffet

I'm not a super buffet fan though I'm not on a diet. But what buffet attracts is the variety of its food. Eating small portions of food throughout a day is so relaxing. Today I'm introducing you "Kome Sushi Buffet" in Daly City. I go there a lot because it's near the Century 20 Theater and I love movies. So I always felt so starving after a movie and I'll go straight to Kome.

Kome is in specialty of Sushi but it also has many other kinds of Chinese food. It has a huge Sushi bar and there you can find all kinds of Sushi and Sashimi.

I like Sushi but I recommend you don't eat Sushi for first!! Because a lot of times I start with sushi and end up too full that I can't eat anything else.

So walk around to find something else that interests you.
Dim sum there is also good. But it might be gone in a few minutes once it comes out.
Also remember to try their desserts.

I would come here for lunch, but not dinner. Since dinner is somewhat expensive. The food was great when it first opened up, but the quality have diminished over time. The place is always crowded so make reservations if you can or you can wait when walk in.

But overall, this place is quite decent for the price in terms of selections and cleanliness.

Chinese Style Crab!!!

Are you tire of eating steamed crab in the Fisherman’s wharf???? Craving for new taste of crab??? “R&G Lounge” is the best place for Chinese style crab. Beside the most famous dish crab, they also have many delicious Chinese dishes. All of their dishes have good decoration. They make you feel that you are the ancient Chinese emperor and eat all these delicious food in the palace. As the result, the price is very high in typical Chinese restaurants, but it deserved the price. Every dish has larger serving so grab some friends and come here to try the best Chinese dishes in San Francisco.
I always go there with lot of friends so I can order more food and share with them. Now~~ let me introduce some best dishes!!!!!

Appetizer- Soya Sauce Bean Curd and Salted Jelly Fishsea Sturgeon

This my favorite cold dish in there. The soya sauce bean curd is very tasty, every bit contains the flavor of sauce. The tofu is also very soft but the skin is not. The salted jelly fishsea sturgeon is very brittle and it is the best appetizer to start a day’s first meal or the last meal. They can increase your appetite!!!!

                House Specialties - Peking Duck

My favorite food!!! Roasted Duck!!!!!! The Peking duck only has duck skin plus some meat which is very different from other roasted duck that we will have in Hong Kong style restaurants. The duck skin is very crispy and not oily. You need to eat with some sauce and the green onion, and then put it into a steamed bun. This is perfect combination, the steamed burn will absorb the redundant oil from the duck and the sauce or green onion make you don’t feel sick with the duck oil.

This is the sauce for DUCK !!!

House Specialties – Live Crab with Salted Egg Yolk

This is R&L’s signature dish!!!!! Everyone who comes always order this big crab. When you walk in to the restaurant, you will notice that every table has one this kind of big crab. This is also their best dish in the whole restaurant.  They deep fried the crab with salted egg yolk, so when you eat the crab, it will contain the good flavor from salted egg yolk. The R&L always provide the best crab for everyday, so there are a lot of meat in every crab. I always enjoy eating all these fat legs of crab. This crab is very different from the American style crab!!! American style crab is more dry and has less meat, but the Chinese style is totally opposite. Chinese style meat is more juicy and has more flavor. Anyway… this is a must try dish!!!! Also, the price doen not show on the menu because it depends on the market price. Although it is not cheap, this crab totally deserve that price.

House Specialties – Mixed Seafood Sauteed with Greens

After the fried and roasted food, it is time for some refreshing food. We order this mixed seafood with vegetables. Although I personally do not like to eat pees, it is healthier to have some vegetables after so many meats. As you can see from the picture, the pawns are very big and fresh. They taste very good, it has been a long time for me to eat such a big pawn in America. The sauce that mixed them together is make from chicken soup which add more points to this dish.

House Specialties – R&L special beef

This is the most normal one out of all fancy food. It is fried beef with R&L’s special sauce. Not a special dish in this restaurant because I can’t even remember what is taste like right now. It is just a normal beef that is similar to other Chinese restaurants. I do not suggest anyone to order this, there are way better dishes that desire a try.

House Specialties – Beef in the Clay Pot

This is a must try dish!!!! My friend always order one and to go one whenever we come here. There is beef tender and Chinese radish inside the clay. They are all very soft with all the flavor contained inside. When you eat it, you can tell that they cook it with many hours. That is why I love this dish very much. At home I do not have time to cook that food for so long so come to here and order it is the best choice.
Overall, I think R&L Longue is the best place for fancy Chinese food. You get to taste many different food that are totally different from other traditional restaurants. R&L Longue use their heart to cook every food and you can feel it. Every time I go I always see a same family eating dinner in there. Therefore, you can see that some family even makes R&L Longue into their daily dinner place. So~~~ no more waiting, just come and try some best Chinese food.

What the Pho?

Vietnamese food would probably be my most favorite kind of Asian food of all time. Even though I'm not from Vietnam, I just love their foods very much. They taste very good. My most favorite kind would be Pho (Beef noodle soup). Today, I am going to write about a restaurant called "Loi's Vietnamese Restaurant". In my opinion, this place may not be the best Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco. The place is very small and crowded sometimes. I still go there a lot because their foods are good and prices are reasonable that fits your budget.

Vietnamese Shrimp Rolls

The Vietnamese Shrimp Rolls are good. They only cost $3.95, unlike other restaurants where they cost about $5 for two rolls. My only concern is that the peanut sauce (sorry, I don't have the picture) does not taste good at all. The texture of the sauce was supposed to be thick but they made it thin and watery. I like the other kind of sauce more (shown in above picture). It taste better with the shrimp rolls.

Special Beef Noodle Soup

I like the pho at this place. I eat this every time I go there. The bowl is at the right size, and I think it's the cheapest bowl of pho ever. The cost is only $3.95 for medium size! That's like the same price as the shrimp rolls. The bowl has the right amount of noodles and beef. I like to eat pho with some chili sauce. It adds up the spiciness to it. Also, the broth tastes really good.

On my previous posts, I mentioned that I like noodles a lot. hehe. Well, if you are not a fan of pho, I recommend you try the Vietnamese BBQ pork over rice noodle. I don't have the photo of it, sorry about that. I like how the bbq pork tasted. It wasn't too salty and over burnt. I also like how they add a lot of vegetables. It comes with a special kind of fish sauce and tastes really good with the BBQ pork.

Overall, I recommend you try the pho at this place. I mean, where else can you get a bowl of pho for $3.95? They taste really good and most customers order this. They come in 3 sizes (M, L, and XL), but medium size is already big enough for me to eat. The place may not look that clean, and the boss talks very loud all the time, but the pho is just so good!

I wanna eat a cow at YakiniQ!

        Aniohasaeyo! This is writer Jasmine♥
Are you thinking What To Eat today? How about Korean barbeque! Korean barbeque is always very popular around the world and the Korean BBQ restaurants are full every day. Isn’t it a nice thing to eat an All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ with friends and families at nights? I am going to introduce to you one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants here in San Francisco, “YakiniQ”. I am sure you must have heard this restaurant somewhere at some time due to its popularity.
It is an All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ restaurant near Japan Town. It has two kinds of All-You-Can-Eat menu. The first one is $19.99 menu per person. If you pick this menu, you can All-You-Can-Eat beef brisket, marinated short ribs, pork belly, spicy pork belly, spicy chicken, garlic butter chicken, pork skin, spicy baby octopus, honeycomb tripe, intestine, big intestine, rice soup, steam egg, and rice cake wrap. The second menu is the $23.99 menu with extra All-You-Can-Eat choices, prime beef tongue, pork neck meat, and marinated beef. In addition, the sides and vegetables all need to be ordered out of the menu. Nowadays, it has new choices such as miso pork belly.

I only have a picture of what it generally looks like, but I have some recommended dishes that you must order!

        Marinated Short Ribs
The short ribs are very soft, tender, and juicy. I have no other vocabulary can think of to describe it taste. The only thing I can say is that…it tastes awesome!
        Spicy Chicken
Chicken in “YakiniQ” is really fresh and tender. I personally like spicy chicken more than garlic butter chicken because spicy chicken is marinated in some spicy sauce and the meat is really soft and juicy. Even though it is spicy chicken, it is not really spicy at all.
        Steam Egg
Steam egg is a MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST order! Even though it is just a steam egg, it tastes really delicious and relaxing after you eat numerous plates of meat.
        Radish Wrap + Pork Belly
The pork belly itself is a thick-sliced and it tastes perfect. Pork belly in one of my favorites and I like to eat pork belly with salt and sesame oil. However, it is too greasy and oily afterwards. As a result, you can order a plate of radish wrap. The radish wrap is a little bit sour and it’s icy. You can wrap the pork belly inside the radish wrap. The combination is PERFECT!

You must be hungry after seeing all these meat right?! It is an All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ restaurant and you can eat as much as you want. Don’t forget to eat some vegetables, wraps, sides, and salads, because they will balance up your diet and get rid of the greasiness too. What are you waiting for? Just go to “YakiniQ”!
        Address: 1640 Post St

PS: It is always full so make a reservation before you go or to go there right after it opens at 5:00pm

Ready for Hot Noodle Soup at Pho Huynh Hiep 3?!

Hello and this is writer Jasmine♥
Do you have any experience of thinking What To Eat in such a cold weather and you want something really quick and fast? “Pho Huynh Hiep 3 – Kevin’s Noodle House” is one of the best choices at nights. It is a popular Vietnamese restaurant in Westlake. There are always a lot of people going to “Pho Huynh Hiep 3” even at late nights. However, you don’t need to worry about the waiting time. No matter how many people are in “Pho Huynh Hiep 3”, it usually takes 10 to 15 minutes to get into the restaurants. The reason of its high speed of moving customers is because of its really quick speed of serving your meals! So…Let’s start!

Appetizers—Chả Giò (Deep fried Vietnamese egg rolls)

This dish is fried egg rolls. Even though it is called “egg” rolls, it is actually pork meat rolls with egg wrapper. You can eat egg rolls with provided sour sauce or with the seafood sauce.

        Appetizers—Gỏi Cuốn (Fresh spring rolls)

Differently with egg rolls, this dish is spring rolls. Spring rolls are shrimps and vegetables in the wrappers. It is a great taste of eating spring rolls with the provided peanut sauce. I like this dish because it is not so greasy but also can open up your stomach.

Appetizers—Tàu Hủ Ky (Fried shrimp cakes)

This appetizer is one of my favorites. The shrimp cakes in “Pho Huynh Hiep 3” are really delicious because they are fried up to have crispy sounds when you eat it. Again, you can always put the Vietnamese sour sauce with shrimp cakes and it is really yummy.

Noodle Soup—Đặc Biệt (Special combo w/ thin slice of steak, well-done brisket, flank, tendon & tripe.)

There are so many different kinds of noodle soups in “Pho Huynh Hiep 3”. However, I like their taste of special combo the most. This dish is really popular because almost everyone orders the special combo. It includes thin slice of steak, brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. It also includes some raw slices of beef so you can put them in the bottom of your bowl to use the soup heat to cook it. Another reason for “Pho Huynh Hiep 3” to be this popular is because of their special spicy sauce. It is just perfect if you put some spicy oil into the noodle soup and it will make everything tastes so delicious and differently. I recommend this noodle soup the most and it has three sizes, large, medium, and small. In addition, you can also change your noodles to your style, such as flat noodles or egg noodles.

Noodle Soup—Tái, Nạm (Thin slices of steak & well-done flank)

This noodle soup is another different style of noodle soup. Unlike the previous noodle soup I just introduced to you, this noodle soup is with different broth and different meats. The broth in this dish is a little bit saltier and sweet. The meats are really thick but very soft and tender. If you want to try a different style of noodle soup, this will be a great choice for you.

        Vegetables

This plate of vegetables is serving with noodle soup. It includes some basil, lemon, and bean sprouts. You can put some into the bowl and make it into your own flavor of noodle soup. I always like to put some basil into my bowl in the very beginning because it will be cooked afterwards by the soup heat.

I only introduce and share pictures of appetizers and noodle soups of “Pho Huynh Hiep 3” in this post. However, the rice plates are very delicious too. There are many kinds of rice plates available on the menu and also some other styles of noodle soups as well. The reason I love “Pho Huynh Hiep 3” is because of its quick serving meal speed and also its taste. If you are in a hurry and really crave for something hot and delicious, just go to “Pho Huynh Hiep 3”!

SASHIMI for tonight!

Konichiwa! This is writer Jasmine♥
Do you like to eat Japanese food and all these fresh sashimi and sushi? I do!
There is a Japanese restaurant called “Izakaya Mai” at San Mateo. Even though it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to drive to San Matel from San Francisco, there are still a lot of people heading to “Izakaya Mai” for its delicious and yummy Japanese food. “Izakaya Mai” is a restaurant more likely to hang out with friends with eating some small dishes and drinking a cup of sake. However, “Izakaya Mai” is not only selling sashimi and sushi, but also providing bento box and dinner set. I am going to introduce and share to you the dishes we ordered this Friday night. It was such a great and relaxing dinner in “Izakaya Mai”!
        Appetizers—Spicy Crab Salad
The spicy crab salad is the starting dish of the night. The salad is with whole bunch of crab meat and crab egg. The sauce is traditional Japanese sour sauce and it is not very spicy. Most importantly, it opens up everyone’s stomach. This salad is so delicious and you can really feel the taste of sea.

        Appetizers—Sashimi Combination
I am a big fan of sashimi! I love to eat any kind of sashimi and I order sashimi every time I go to Japanese restaurants. And of course, we ordered the dish of sashimi combination and it includes three pieces of each tuna, salmon, octopus, and other sashimi you can see from the picture. The sashimi is really fresh and each piece is really thick!

        Appetizers—Uni Sashimi
Uni is one of my favorite sashimi. I usually go to supermarket and buy a live uni and open it up at home. The uni sashimi is not really 100% fresh but I think it is due to the room temperature. However, it is still about 80% fresh and it tastes like marshmallow because uni is just melting in your mouth.

        Appetizers—Ankimo
Ankimo is a must-tried dish. It is fish liver and it tastes awesome! Ankimo is really special in Japanese restaurants because it is not as common as other sashimi you see from any other Japanese restaurants. As a result, I was a little bit surprised to see the choice of Ankimo on the menu. The fish liver is really thick and it tastes really well. If you are a sashimi-lover, then you must try this one.

Sushi Special Roll—Spider Roll (Soft Shell Crab)
Because we ordered too much sashimi, we ordered some special sushi roll to eat. This sushi roll is called Spider Roll and it is a roll with soft shell crab. Soft shell crab is a really common dish in Japanese restaurants and it is a kind of small fried crab that you can eat everything of it. This roll puts soft shell crab into sushi style and it is a great combination of rice and the crab.

        Grill—Calamari Steak
As you can see from the name of the dish, this one is called Calamari Steak. It is basically thick grilled slices of calamari with special dressing and sauce. The calamari is really tender and it is a great choice to warm up your stomach after eating too many dishes of sashimi.

        Appetizers—Amebi
Amebi is the Japanese words for sweet shrimps. This dish is another sashimi dish but it is a little bit different because it is shrimps! The head of shrimps are fried and you can eat everything of it, just like the soft shell crab. The shrimps are very fresh and it has similar taste of uni that it will melt in your mouth.

After all these sashimi and seafood dishes, I am going to share the other part of the dishes we ordered that day.

        Donburi—Tanin Don
This donburi is called Tanin Don and it is basically beef and egg over rice. First of all, there is whole bowl of rice at the bottom. Secondly, there are slices of soft and tender beefs in the middle. Finally, there are eggs and soy sauce on the top. If you don’t eat that much of sashimi and seafood, you can try the donburi. Of course, there are more choices of donbrui on the menu of “Izakaya Mai”.

        Fried and Boiled—Korokke
What is Korokke? Korokke is fried potatoes! It is very yummy especially with the sauce. BUT be careful! It is fried potato, in another words, it is super hot so watch out your tongue.

        Fried and Boiled—Chicken Kara-age
Chicken Kara-age is a very common fried dish in Japanese restaurants and it is fried chicken. The fried chicken in Japanese style is very tender and juicy.

        Fried and Boiled—Miso Kon-nyaku
This dish is pork and eggplants cooked in miso sauce. It is a little bit saltier but it is good to have something heavy taste after all sashimi dishes. The eggplant is really delicious because it absorbs every miso sauce. You can order this dish and also a bowl of rice and it will be perfect!

        Fried and Boiled—Mix Tempura
You have three choices of tempura at “Izakaya Mai”. You can either order veggie tempura, shrimps tempura, or the mix tempura. The Mix Tempura includes 2 shrimps and veggie of broccoli, yam, pumpkin, and carrot. Don’t forget to mix the radish into soy sauce before you eat it.

        Noodle—Chanpon
Chanpon is a ramen dish with pork and seafood broth. There are a lot of vegetables, oysters, shrimps, tofu, and also some meats. The broth tastes well and it is a good idea to have a bowl of hot noodle soup in cold weather.

        Grill—Sanma(Grilled Pike)
Sanam is one of my favorites of grilled dishes. The fish is really fresh and it is grilled evenly that every parts of the fish is just perfect. Remember! To put some lemon juice over the fish to make it taste even better!

Wow! We only have 4 people and we ordered so many dishes. Foods in “Izakaya Mai” are really delicious and Japanese traditionally. It is definitely worth for you to drive all the way to San Mateo and enjoy a relaxing night with your friends and families at “Izakaya Mai”! Stop thinking What To Eat Today! “Izakaya Mai” is your best choice of the day.

Dim Sum Kingdom~~

Hello everyone!!!! Do you love to eat dim sum? There are a lot of dim sum restaurant in the Bay area. If you do not want to try and just want to go to a highly recommend restaurant, I can suggest one very good dim sum restaurant in Daly City. This restaurant is called “Dim Sum King” that is near to 99 Ranch in Skyline. I always go there in lunch with my friends for dim sum brunch. This is a best way to start a day. We always order a lot of delicious dim sum, but today I will only recommend some BEST dim sum in the “Dim Sum King”. These are more traditional dim sum that most people will love them.

Steamed Pork Dumplings

In Chinese, we called it Siu Mai, which is steamed pork dumplings. It contains pork and crab inside, so it combines the taste of meat and seafood. I like to eat this steam pork dumplings very much and add some spicy sauce with it.

Steamed Chicken Feet

I know most of people cannot accept chicken feet, however, in my home country everyone loves to eat it. It does not taste weird or strange. Also they make the steamed chicken feet into strong flavor, so you will not fell the original smell of the feet. The chicken feet is very good to women because it contains a lot of collagen that is good to women’s skin.

Deep Fired Sesame Ball

One of my favorite desserts in the dim sum king!!!!! It is simply deep fired ball with sesame inside, but I love to eat sesame very much. It is crispy outside but soft and sweet inside. It also tastes like deep fired machi.

Baked B.B.Q. Pork Puff

It is baked puff that contains B.B.Q pork inside, it is very delicious. You need to eat it as soon as it comes, so it is still hot. If you until it turn cold, it will not taste as good as the hot one. It also has crispy outside, but the inside is soft and salty.

Pan-Fried Turnip Cake

A very traditional turnip cake that you will normally get in the Asian restaurants, but I still love to try all different kinds of turnip cake in the Bay Area. It is so so but does not taste bad.

Steamed Shrimp Dumplings

It is the steamed version of the shrimp dumplings. It tastes so so but every dumpling has a whole shrimp which makes me happy all the time. The sad thing is that they do not do a good job on the wrapper, because it always break whenever I pick it up><

 Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf

This is one of the top dim sum in the dim sum king. They made the best sticky rice that is sticky enough. Inside the sticky rice, there is pork and sausage.  Sausage is my favorite part, I always eat the only piece of sausage in each one of lotus leaf.

 Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls

This is my favorite dim sum in my life. I just cannot explain that how much I love shrimp rice noodle rolls. The rice noodle is the wrapper and wraps three shrimp in each roll. You need to eat the roll with some say sauce!!!!! It tastes very delicious and you can feel the whole shrimp in your mouth. There are many flavors of rice noodle rolls such as with beef or pork for people who have seafood allergy.
Overall, Dim Sum King is a very good place for weekend brunch. Although, I know that there are more professional dim sum restaurants in the city of San Francisco, the environment in Dim Sum King is better than other places. All of their food is place out directly from the kitchen, instead of using a small car to label all the food and let the customers to choose. The food is fresh enough by using a car to sell them table by table, especially in San Francisco where lots of people are talking all the time. I like to order on the paper and let the waiter or waitress to take the food directly from kitchen.
